Bloom County: Library research

Description

Milo is sitting in the meadow, with Hodge Podge sprawled beside him. Binkley walks up and asks, "Where's "Mr. Amnesia?"" (Opus, who has lost his memory.)

Milo answers, "Gone.

"He's out there somewhere finding himself... Rediscovering exactly who he is... What he is...

"Yes.. He's a blank slate out on a frightening journey of self-discovery!!"

We next see Opus in a library, soft drink and snacks near at hand, reading from a large book on penguins. "Feathered but flightless, these cheerful clowns-of-the-ice frolic in the South Atlantic, feeding on herring, small cod and Hostess 'Ding-Dongs'..."

I have yet to find an official Bloom County/Outland site on the Internet.

Comments

I applaud his use of the library as a vehicle for self-discovery, but I suspect that he is not reading an Audubon-class reference.
